Volunteer Opportunity

The Chile Safety Brigade is a dedicated team of walking volunteers organized by the Tucumcari Rotary Club, tasked with monitoring the parade route, guiding floats, and ensuring that spectators remain safely on the sidewalks.

Volunteer Roles & Expectations: • Monitor the Route: Walk alongside floats and act as a friendly barrier to keep spectators—especially excited kids—safely on the curb and out of the street.

• Safe Distribution: Assist floats with safely handing out candy and items directly to the crowd (no throwing!). (Tentative item - most likely not going to happen)

• Float Pacing: Help maintain a safe distance between the crowds and moving vehicles.

• Visibility: Wear the provided high-visibility reflective gear, complete with flashing/static red or green safety lights, for the duration of the event.
